Change?

You're welcome...  LOL

Congratulations to Barack Obama for winning the presidency...  All I can say my good man is you've got your hands full!!!  I honestly think that the right man won.  Watching him speak I am reminded of the speeches of John F. Kennedy.  I was not alive when he spoke, but watching archived footage his speeches you just see the same enigmatic personality that President-Elect Obama has.  They both have the same ability to incite a crowd and uplift a country.  I guess that showed in the polls and changed the minds of what people thought a president should be...

I took the same stance that comedian Mike Schmidt took on his podcast The 40 Year Old Boy .
Why not vote for the guy who speaks above your head for once...  We tried the down home approach...  Besides, shouldn't the President be the smartest guy in the room?  We don't need another dullard!  I think in judging from his interviews and speeches that he may be the man...

One thing that I can say for President-Elect Obama is that he got a lot of people to change.  I don't just mean folks like Warren Buffet or Colin Powell...  I'm talking about people who are Republican but got tired of the same ol', same ol'...  My mother who's a pretty staunch Republican even switched sides and supported Obama...  That's a pretty amazing feat unto itself, but she said that what he was saying made the most sense which was the same for me...

Obama at this point has transcended the whole "African-American Candidate" thing and was seen not for the color of his skin (although as a country we've FINALLY moved forward...  Although in all fairness what did we have before?  We had Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...  Yeah I could not imagine them in the White House either...) but seen for his ideals.  That's what an election should be about not who the candidate associated with years ago!

Now keep in mind, I am neither a Republican nor am I a Democrat...  Heck if Jesse Ventura ran for President I probably would have voted for him...  So that ought to tell you a little about me! LOL!

Anyway enough rambling...  Congratulations to President-Elect Barack Obama and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden.  You'll certainly be under the microscope and as a country, we'll be expecting the change you've promised.
