Randumb Thoughts...

In case you're wondering that's Miss Alanah Rae's booty with our logo on that...

Funny things that I've realized...

Twitter has a CRAPLOAD of porn bots and apparently they all wanna follow me... Man a brotha wants to know what his favorite porn stars are doing and it has to be ruined by bots... LOL

In watching the original David Blaine special, I wonder sometimes why didn't someone scream "HOLY SHIT A WIIIIITCH!" and proceeded to light him on fire with a zippo... The reactions to his magikery is prettty freakin' priceless...

In playing Rock Band 2, I realize that my brother has a set of pipes on him... Gotta remember to put earplugs in like a real rock band... and soundproof my room...

Speaking of Rock Band, I'm waiting for Rock Band: John Mayer...

Oh and when are they coming out with a "real rock band" pack to download? You know... during career mode:
"Your drummer is now addicted to heroin and is now on Addiction with Dr. Drew... Lose $1,000,000 and a million fans"

In talking with my brother he now realizes why I say the goofy crap I say... What can I say my earliest memories of my dad is he'd have company over and porn would be on the TV... LOL

It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away!

Ok, Ok...

UH... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS???

Apparently I'm not good enough to be a training specialist or a Assistant Bank Manager trainee in Lake Charles, LA.... LOL! Oh well, as with all things we go on and will continue to get my hustle on...

Sooo... Just got back from a marathon travel sesh... Kinda sucks having to come back to the residence but I did find out a lot of things on this trip...

So what did Alan find out? (In no particular order...)
1.) Driving 4 days in a rent-a-truck dragging your mother's SUV behind you on busy free/highways friggin' sucks...
2.) I still don't know where the hell Van Horn, TX is... But the Chevron truck stop had a BOMB ass Mexican restaurant with the BEST salsa I've had in awhile!!!
3.) Truck stop restaurants kick MAJOR ass...
4.) Monster Energy, Red Bull, and Rockstar Energy drinks ARE your best friends...
5.) Don't ever travel with a mother who says "It's up to you when you wanna stop..." Then proceeds to bitch about being hungry and tired 30 minutes later...
6.) Texas is a BIG ASS state!!!
7.) Dairy Queens must be VERY popular in Texas...
8.) Don't rent trucks from Budget Rentals in Reno... Son of a bitch sent us out on the road with 2 bald front tires on the truck and 3 bald tires on the trailer carrying my mom's truck... Good thing we stopped at that Shell in Wickenburg...
9.) If given a choice stay at a Holiday Inn Express... La Quinta Inn's are SKETCHY AS HELL!!!
10.) No matter where you go Denny's Grand Slam Burgers KICK ASS!!!
11.) I'm suddenly starting to realize that my mother complains about various afflictions that she may be a hypochondriac...
12.) Apparently if you have a Wal Mart you are considered in civilization... (Used to be McDonald's...)
13.) Driving the I-10 East in Houston on a Saturday night in a rent-a-truck dragging an SUV behind you is the scariest thing EVER!!!! I think that steering wheel still has indentations where my hands where...
14.) Lake Charles is humid!!!
15.) Ryan's in Lake Charles is the best buffet in that town and cheap too! (Ok, who are we kidding, anyplace that has fried porkchops, catfish, greens, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, is ALWAYS good to me...)
16.) I REALLY miss Arizona...
17.) I need to get myself a job... LOL

I'm sure I missed a bunch of stuff but that's all I got mentally for now...

Have a good one!

On the Road Again...

The lovely Kagney Linn Karter.... Now you know... Need to get this girl on a DeauxBrahs board!

The incredibly adorable Alanah Rae unpacking

Well I figured I'd start with a vision of hotness since I'm heading out to Arizona, which is the first leg of a three day roadie moving my mom to Lake Charles, LA so she can start her new job! All I can say is yay!

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks since we flew out to Lake C so my mom could interview at the L'Augberg Du Lac Casino. The fact that she interviewed and got the job on the same day is so amazing! Maybe whirlwind isn't the best description for it perhaps it's been a hurricane couple of weeks... Nah that's not good either... Oh well I'll figure out a good metaphor before I end this... LOL

It's been insane trying to get my mom's apartment and school stuff squared away. Thankfully my usually dependent mom decided to do most of this stuff on her own. More sleep for me!

But I will have to say that I am incredibly proud of my mom. People fail to realize that my mom has lived in the town of Reno, NV for over 40 years! In a family that seems to never follow through on their intentions to move away my mom got a job and grew a pair and is leaving this hellhole that I also call Reno... Of course it helps when you get a job, but she was even talking about not taking the job if she didn't like the town... Lo and behold she LOVED the lil' town of Lake Charles, Louisiana! (I only know this due to the fact that she won't shut up about it now... lol) But it was funny going through the process with her from thinking of all the negatives to the positives... Thank God there were more positives than negatives!

Of course that means Grandma and Grandpa gotta follow so once I'm done getting the grandparent's business squared away and once mom is settled and cool I'll be escorting grandma and grandpa on a jet plane to Houston again to make the journey to Lake Charles where they'll settle with my mom...

I'm hopefully gonna get a job there too so I can settle in as well (Mom reserved a 3 bedroom apartment... So I guess I better get my butt over there to occupy a room... lol)

For now though gonna chill in the RNO (unfortunately...) and see if I can find some gainful employment here...

I guess I'm excited and sooo happy for my mom but I'm also sad that she won't be here... I wonder if that's how she felt when her oldest baby left the nest for Arizona 10 years ago... (probably not, I'm sure she wanted my ass outta the house by that point... we were working each other's last good nerve... lol!). Now the 3 day roadie? That's a WHOLE different story... I hate driving long distances so this is gonna blow BIG TIME! LOL

Anyway, thanks for reading about my tsunami last couple of weeks... Ahh crap that don't work either... Ok, guess we'll just call it whirlwind... Jeez soooo cliche!!!

Good Things are a Startin'...

Checkin' in from Louisiana, I figure since everyone is sleepin' might as well... So good things have been happenin' in my clan since the last entry... Lil' bro got a full time job at the station he works at! Total Captain Morgan moment there! But another cool thing is my mom who's been out of a job since February FINALLY got a job in an industry she knows which is the casino industry... AND got a payraise in the process!

Makes a brotha wonder what in the world is going on when you gotta go out of state to get a job anymore... Soo... What does that mean for our lil' troupe? I'll probably be relocating to Lake Charles, Louisana that's what... But it won't be too bad, if worse comes to worse I always got Houston, TX... Albeit my preference was to go back to Arizona, buuuut ya gotta go where the cash is flowing... Go figure it's here in Louisiana... LOL

So anyways, here's to good times thank god for some of the good stuff he's been givin' my fam lately!

OH NO... WE SUCK AGAIN!!!!

I can live without my PS3??? I dunno Rob Schneider...

Yeah... So my PS3 just straight up crapped out on me... So Al needs to send his precious to friggin Sony so they can fix the fan that apparently now doesn't work... Lame... On the bright side I'm going to be out of town for the next week so that should ease the pain a lil' bit... Not much but a lil' bit...

Anyway enough babbling I just wanted to get that off my chest...

Life is Just a Fantasy...

Duuude... A lil' commercial break... Check out Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory Season 2 on MTV (boy remember the days when they actually played videos???? But then again that was when the cable box had a row of buttons to select the 20 some odd channels... Damn I'm gettin' old...)

I've been out awhile but I've been workin' like a dog... literally... But that has all changed my friends I'm now a free agent again! Basically that means a brotha got fired... LOL But thankfully I've got a bright spot in that my mother is getting an interview for a job... In Louisiana.... So future broadcasts may come from the LA (and I don't mean the city of Angels... Which by the way when I mentioned that via my twitter I got some LA blog bot that started following me... LOL).

I strangely feel ecstatic that I lost my job... I went to work everyday and came home mean mugging... Which in turn took a toll on my health. I will miss my co-workers because the folks I met were some good people, and as the saying goes you should always surround yourself with good people. Unfortunately the good people at work don't translate to good customers on the phone, and it definitely DOESN'T translate to a company that fails in it's overall organization... That's all I'll say in regards to that but I was done and looking anyway...

So the new adventure... Perhaps if my mother gets the job in Louisiana I may be relocating to the dirty dirty souf... I also applied for some positions out there so hopefully I can roll and do work in another profession... Or another scenario is my mother looking for a spot for a restaurant where basically I end up as a one of the head chefs! I enjoy cooking and chefin' so I guess that I could take my talents in another direction!

Anyway enough of the babbling... Unless you forgot your Unisom, then keep reading...

Bottom line I'll probably be blogging more again and hopefully working on getting my company off the ground! Oh and do I see the return of the podcast??? Whoa there turbo... Let's just concentrate on trying to get some funny ass stuff on this blog again...

Later folks!

Deauxin' the Deaux

The logo you'll need to remember!

One of our concept shirts based on one of our boards
DeauxBrahs - Grungy
DeauxBrahs - Flarey
And the DeauxBrahs - Boldly Go (Wonder where that one came from...)

Wow... Another long layoff... For those who are some reason still following this blog (If you are, I'm assuming the beer and liquor hasn't run out yet...) I've been working horrible hours and I've been working on a side project that me and my brother came up with when I was out of a job.

We've started our own skateboard company! I'm sure many of you are wondering "WHAT?" That's why you haven't been writing??? LOL, no but it's been a labor of love getting shirt samples and board samples tested. It's something that I truly enjoy! Anyway, I would be remiss if I didn't mention a good friend who's been on this dream train with me and my brother. My homeboy Paco Montoya, who is one of the proprietors of E&P Designs made our logo for us, so a HUGE thank you goes out to him for helping us realize and finalize a dream!

So what's next you may ask for this DeauxBrahs brand? I dunno, I'm thinking we're just gonna try and get our buzz going here locally and keep selling the shirts and boards on the web and out the back of my trunk... LOL Who knows, maybe snowboards and other "action sports" apparel may follow, but whichever way it goes I'm ready to Deaux the Deaux!

Check out our board shop site http://www.boardpusher.com/DeauxBrahs
The official website soon to follow!

OMG...

It's hard to believe that so many public figures have passed on this week! Geez... I sincerely hope that to all the folks who have passed on are now at peace, especially Michael Jackson. He was such an icon during my childhood so his death was sooo shocking and as of today finding out Billy Mays passed as well??? Infomercials are gonna be very empty for a while until they find the next big pitchman.

This further proves my thought recently that this week has been the cruddiest week ever!!!

Twitter has taken over my life...

Damn you Twitter!!!

Holy crap it's been awhile since I've blogged. I guess the main reason is just being so darn tired from working... But another reason is just being so engulfed in this Twitter thing. Hard to believe that I originally joined Twitter to get some updates from Sara Bareilles... LOL Now I pretty much twit or tweet (whatever the hell they call it...lol) everyday. I even managed to get an app for my iPhone that's how I roll everyday... Oh man, oh man... It's just a horrible day when I don't Twit, I feel like I'm neglecting my responsibilities... Anyway if you wanna follow a brotha hit up my Twitter

Okay... So I TOTALLY Got Sick...

Man I HATE being sick... Nothing worse in my opinion, actually thinking about it yes there is a worse thing.... Still having a wicked chest cough after you're allegedly "done" with your sickness!!!

So it started on Friday, I had a funky tickle in my throat and I was jubilant that I was able to switch with one of my co-workers so I didn't have to work on Memorial Day. I was thinking "SWEET! I'm gonna go watch me some Terminator Salvation and relax!" Only bad thing is the cough didn't want to go away... Oh well, let's grab some dinner with the fam and STILL coughing like a mother!

So I head to bed after dinner and next day which was the day I planned to see Terminator, my chest is hurting and I'm not feeling so hot... I'm thinking "aww crap, not the flu again!!!!", but despite my mother's concerns I didn't head to the doc yet in the event it was a 24 hour flu or something. So the day goes on and I feel worse and worse... Went to sleep and was coughing while I was asleep, how do I know you may ask? I kept waking up... THAT'S HOW HARD I WAS COUGHING FOLKS!!!

So Sunday rolls around and I'm still feeling like crap, so I finally have to admit defeat and tell my mother time to head to urgent care because this is scaring me! Go to urgent care and they diagnose me with bronchitis! HOLY CRAP! So they give me some anti-biotic and an inhaler (Don't ask folks I have no earthly idea, why they'd give me an inhaler for bronchitis... But what do you expect when you don't have to pay for insurance...) So I also get a note from the doc to stay out of work until Tuesday.

So Monday rolls around and I still feel sick as a dog, and figure Tuesday is a wash... So I called into work and let 'em know I had a docs note. So Wednesday rolls around and still feel like crap and I go as far as to go to work to deliver my doc's note and to let my managers know that I'm not in any shape to work, so thankfully they let me head on home.

So now that it's Thursday, I felt good enough to go to work. Still felt like crap taking calls but at least I still was employed for the time being... I unfortunately have a VERY strict attendance at work and I've already shot my "silver bullet" once... So let's hope a brother stays on...

Funny Tees and Graduation Gifts...

Yeah poke this...

I don't know what it is lately, but I've been on a funny shirt kick... Courtesy of DGK (Dirty Ghetto Kids). As you can see they have a bit of a twisted humor... lol! If nothing else people get a good look and laugh at the Pilsbury Doughboy with gold teeth!

Adam with his "pro" board from DeuxBrahs Skateboards

Oh, and my younger brother is graduating from college! Woo Hoo! When it became kinda "official" I gave him his graduation gift. It's the 2nd board from our little outfit, DeuxBrahs Skateboards (courtesy of boardpusher of course). I wanted to get something unique that no one else would think of. It was neat to see his face when I pulled it out for him! He thought I was pulling our first board until he saw it had his name on it! So that was a really cool thing that brightened up my day especially since I had a bad day yesterday. I was just really stoked to see that he was happy with it!

I think I told him to enjoy his last days as a college student because real life sucks.... LOL
Love Ya Bro!

No Rest for the Weary...

Hmm...

Still livin' amazingly... I wonder sometimes why we are blessed to receive things such as a great family and marvelous friends. Yet we can sometimes be cursed by negativity such as angry customers on the phone, a family member who tries to take advantage of you at every turn. It's those days that I wonder if I'm that big of a sucker to let these negative things happen to me... Although I guess the angry customer thing you can't control but it'd be nice if I could get cool people all the time... LOL

Anyway I guess I want to say that I'm thankful for every one of my family and friends who support me and love me even through my trials and tribulations, and through those days when I just have a piss-poor attitude...

Anywhooo.... Sooner or later things get back to normal right??? LOL

Hopefully, once the lil' bro graduates in a few weeks we'll resume recording for the podcast, apparently lil' bro has been getting some emails wondering if we were coming back. So yes we are coming back just had to wait for Adam to get squared away with school so he had a "normal" schedule... LOL

By the way check out my Twitter feed, I try to update that a lot... Damn I have no life... LOL

Happy Easter

What's up folks! I guess in the interest of keeping this blog flowing I'll write the obligatory Easter Sunday post.

I can remember good times when I was a kid going to Idewild Park here in Reno and doing Easter Egg hunts. This was long before responsibility took over my life and I had to grow up and be a "normal" member of society... (Although I'm sure my friends will tell you that I am FAR from normal...LOL)

I guess I miss those simple days, it was fun. Like me running around during Halloween with a vinyl Superman costume yelling "I AM SUPERMAN!!!" LOL. I think I miss the fact that I wasn't so jaded back in those days. Not that I'm super negative now but seeing how people are in the real world it makes you, if not jaded then more cautious...

Anyway, have a wonderful Easter Sunday and stay positive!

More As Seen on TV...

Yep today's trial by fire on Attack of the Show are the famous rivals Vince's Slap Chop and Billy Mays' Quick Chop...

Speaking of Vince and Slap Chop... Apparently Vince likes slap chopping hookers... Yeah the Shamwow dude just got arrested for slapping around a hooker after she bit his tongue... Good golly where has the world gone when the Shamwow dude has to pay for sex??? LOL

I guess he said he had to rack her so she'd let go of his tongue, he ended up running down to the lobby of his South Beach hotel to have the front desk call the police... Wow...

Image courtesy of The Smoking Gun website

On the bright side at least she wasn't a bad looking lady... I think they said this was from a few years ago... I guess she looks a little tweaky now....

Oy... So Tired!

Oy... Who knew starting a job after being out of one for six months was gonna tire me out so bad??? All I can say is at least I'm getting used to the schedule now. Even though I'm gonna be working even earlier than now... I better get used to heading to bed at 8 or somethin'...

Rachel Getting Married

Great cast and great story

So I went to get the Blu Ray of Rachel Getting Married, and I had some preconceived notions in regards to what this movie was gonna be, especially with it having Oscar buzz with Anne Hathaway (Future Ex-Wife...) getting a Best Actress nomination. Plus with the film being directed by Johnathan Demme I was thinking this is gonna be an artsy piece of crap...

Surprisingly to say it isn't quite what I expected. As a aspiring filmmaker Demme did something unique in the drama genre in that they used a lot of follow cameras to give you the feeling that you're following the action as it's going on. Along with the improvised soundtrack that was played by a live group of musicians throughout taping it made for a unique and homey feel. The film made you feel as if you're sort of the "fly on the wall" during this weekend that this wedding is taking place.

I guess I should outline what the film is about as well... The main story is about Kym played by Anne Hathaway who is a former model who is a former drug addict, who is released from rehab for the weekend to attend the wedding of her sister Rachel (Played by Rosemarie DeWitt). The story is simple in that Kym is a narcissist who demands attention even at her own sister's wedding. But the underlying story is when Kym comes home she has to face for the first time the demons that have plagued her for so many years. So in all reality, the story is about Kym's growth as a person in this one weekend even with all the activity of Rachel's wedding happening the foreground. I won't give away some of the plot points but hopefully what I've given will be enough to at least rent it...

And of course there's the performances by a very talented cast.

Rosemarie DeWitt and Anne Hathaway

One notable performance was Rosemarie DeWitt who does an awesome job playing Rachel the distant older sister who hasn't forgiven Kym for what she's done. Albeit DeWitt was a supporting player she brought the movie together really well. You really want to hate her for the way she treats Kym, but throughout the movie you see why she reacts the way she does.

Another great performance comes from Bill Irwin who plays Paul the father to Rachel and Kym. An overprotective father who seems to shelter Kym due to all of her troubles who is very passive in his dealings with her. Irwin does a great job in being a loving father who genuinely loves both of his daughters but at the same time is covering his feelings for what Kym has done.

Deborah Winger shows up as Abby the mother of Kym and Rachel as well. She did a great job in being the aloof mother who much like Kym and Rachel's father very passive in her dealings with her children.

Anne Hathaway

Then of course there is Kym played by Anne Hathaway. There was a good reason she was nominated for the Academy Award, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan of hers. She gives a poignant performance where you feel sorry for her, you hate her and, then you feel happy for her when she finally faces her demons that comes to a head towards the end of the film. Hathaway does a spot up job playing the part in that she managed to be a conniving, narcissist whom you want to hate but you see she does have a big heart and genuinely does try to love people the best that she can, which backfires on her at times.

Boy I bet y'all are wondering what in the world did Kym do??? I guess you'll have to get the movie and find out... The film itself and the roles that came out of it are what actors kill to portray, because it's so real and so gritty.

Now would I suggest buying this film like I did? Probably not, but because I'm a fan of Anne Hathaway I chose to buy it. It's definitely a rent though, if you're looking for a unique film with marvelous acting and a simple yet complex story line, I'd suggest Rachel Getting Married.

R.I.P. Charles "Mask" Lewis

For some of those that may care, TapouT co-founder Charles "Mask" Lews was killed in a high speed car wreck on March 11, 2009. Memorial services are planned and will be release as information becomes available.

TapouT is one of the first companies that strictly catered to the Mixed Martial Arts crowd. Mask was a personality as well as an savvy businessman. For those who've never seen TapouT the show should check it out. Mask seemed like a genuine person who was determined to succeed and touched the lives of those he met.

Get Back to Work!!!

Thank god it ain't a job at In N' Out!!! But if Olivia worked there I'd be there on time everyday!

Had a lovely call today, I'm now amongst the gainfully employed again! I'm happy to announce that after 6 long months I'm finally back to work again, in a customer service position in a call center. Not exactly what I thought I'd be doing at age 30, but in this economy I ain't gonna complain! So first round's on me when I get paid! ;)

OMG! Nerd Alert!

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...

Trekkies like me unite!!! Epic trailer for the new Star Trek movie! I'm actually gonna break convention and watch this sucker in the theatre. I know, I know what a freakin' nerd! I like to think that our future would be as idealistic as that. It captured my imagination as a kid and it still kinda does now... Just don't tell anybody!!! lol!

Stupid Economy....

Exotic, cute british accent, smart... I'll miss her giving the news!

Sad news for G4 viewers who enjoyed watching The Feed with Layla Kayleigh. Layla's contract with the network was not renewed so unfortunately you won't be hearing that cute british accent giving you the news you need to hear. But a lot of cutbacks at the network have caused to par down some shows and release people from shows such as X-Play and Attack of the Show! But fret not, you'll still be able to see her in various outlets such as America's Best Dance Crew...

On a bright note though, they replaced her with Alison Haislip!

Sassy Jersey girl...

Hmmm....

Still debating whether or not I want to get Killzone 2, that's if they even have the darn game... maybe I'll wait for a minute to see what the reviews for online are... Man I'm getting addicted to this online stuff...

EDIT: Got the game, awesome graphics and compelling single player game play... Some frame rate hitches but nothing that would kill the deal or anything... But I'll play me some online mode before I put the jury to bed on this one... But I will say the only annoying thing is the cameras which made me sick because it's that Saving Private Ryan camera stuff that always gets me sick... Oh well, I'll get used to it... I hope.. lol!

I'm So Lucky...

I was sitting here looking at the message board for my SOCOM clan and I had a realization... I am such a lucky person to have found such a great group of people to game with. I've actually been able to find friends in all parts of the U.S. and Canada, that is SOOO cool!

Matter of fact one of my friends Paco and his cousin Hector just visited my hometown and we just had a big ol' order of wings at Joe Bob's Chicken Palace.

Some of you know Paco's work from the AWESOME header that he designed for this blog (Check the link at the bottom)! He also designed the uber-cool sig that's above! We have a lot of things in common and similar values and the same sense of humor so of course that stoked the fire of friendship... Of course the fuel is fired because Paco actually laughs at my antics in the game... LOL! I couldn't imagine a better squad mate because he actually has some skill to balance out my nonsense...

We even play other games like Skate 2 and Street Fighter IV which are fun as all get go because we can just hang out and have fun. Same goes with Tiger Woods with some of my other clanmates!

It's been a trying 5 months since I moved back to Reno, with my Dad still recovering from a stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side. It's been made even harder in that my Dad's mental facilities aren't all there. Couple that with the fact that I haven't been able to get a job in this stinkhole makes the time here even more stressful!

I can honestly say, if it wasn't for the members of Riders of the Apocalypse, I probably would've spiraled into REALLY bad depression... The character of the membership of my clan is unlike many I have ever seen! It's really a family... Albeit a dysfunctional family but a family nonetheless... Again, all from a video game...

I guess this post is to really recognize those awesome folks who I can count as my sisters and brothers from other mothers!

Thank you ROTA!!!

Stay Classy...

Stay Classy Oscars...

Those of you who read this blog know I have an affinity for Anne Hathaway (apparently... she's on the header!), I'd find it difficult to say that I wasn't disappointed when she didn't win best actress at the oscars.  But what can you do?  Kate Winslet is a great actress as well!  Oh well I can take solace in the fact that she gave a great musical number and like the classy-type gal she is she wore a classy gown.  What else can I say?  She's a hottie!

Random Hot Chick(s) of the Moment

Darn you Danny Hood for getting to her before I did!!!

I figured since we're on the eve of the NHRA Phoenix Nationals event I wanted to highlight Ashley Force-Hood.  She's hot of course and goes 300+ MPH in 4 seconds, in a Nitro Funny Car...  Need I say more???  Oh and did I mention she's quick witted and makes for great television!

She along with father John Force had a show on A&E Driving Force which was funny as heck!   John Force me and my brother found is very similar to my father in that they both kinda speak their minds without a whole lotta thought...  LOL!  It also highlighted the other Force sisters (Brittany and Courtney) who are racers as well...  The oldest Adria wasn't highlighted as much since she wasn't racing, but she's married to one of John's funny car drivers Robert Hight.  Who by the way is a super cool dude!

My brother and I got a chance to meet Ashley in Phoenix and she was super nice and cordial with all the fans in her pit!  If any of y'all have seen the photos from that event we were not in the right frame of mind when taking those photos with her... We totally got blazed out from a nitro funny car testing session in the Force Racing pit so we were still a little groggy...

Actually thinking about the whole John Force Racing Team was awesome that whole weekend! John Force is still the man in my book, just because he's one of them old school dudes who doesn't give a crap what anyone but his fans think of him.  Ashley is of course hot and super nice, so of course it made the experience great for us both!

Middle Daughter (Kinda) - Brittany

Youngest Courtney

Yep, just like my dad...  LOL

HADOUKEN!!!!

Ryu's my homeboy...  lol!

So I broke down and got my nostalgia on...  I got Street Fighter IV...  I'll have to play through this and see if it gives me that lovin' feeling that I used to get in the arcades!  But I mainly got it for the online capability gotta take my homeboy Paco on and getting our hadoukens on!  lol!

What a Nap!

I just woke up from a wicked nap...  All I can say holy crap!  I slept for like 4 hours!  I couldn't sleep last night so I didn't get a load of sleep.  I finally crashed out at noon...  Boy that means I ain't sleeping tonight...  Suck...

Watching a bit on Attack of the Show's podcast about Lucha Va Voom...  The most utterly ridiculous thing I've ever seen...  LOL!  But you can't beat midgets wrestling!

This has got to be the most Ree-Dunk-Culous show ever...

Sad Songs at 5 AM!!!

I'm up at 5AM and can't sleep...  Holy crapola!!! I'm listening to Sara Bareilles' new tune Gravity, just listening to the song it's such a sad song...  But so good at the same time with it's simplicity.  I think as I've gotten older I tend to enjoy simpler sounding music.  Simple arrangements and a great singer I've found is all I need recently.

Awesome song, so simple and a great video! I know I've lost some macho points but I don't care...  LOL

That's probably why I couldn't tell you what Lil' Wayne sings without looking at my brother for an answer... Which by the way his music sucks now, not that it was noteworthy before but the fact that he got nominated for so many darn grammy awards is ridiculous!  If he had a message or something then yes I can see you win awards for it.  Sucks to say that Run DMC, Public Enemy, and NWA came out at the wrong time...  Cuz those cats deserved awards for being the innovators of the hip hop genre.  Oh well...

Well for now I'm gonna contemplate if I'm gonna go on glass and stay up for the rest of the day and play some SOCOM respawn...  While I'm doing that I'll listen to some more Sara Bareilles.  By the way, if you get a chance to see her in concert she's an awesome performer!  Sara Bareilles Live at the Fillmore is a great DVD that showcases a simple show where the artist can actually sing!

On a lighter note...  Here's Sara taking a tour around an concert venue...

SHE'S FLOORIN' IT RIGHT NOW!!! LOL

It's Been Awhile...

Lazy Days...

So...  It's been awhile since I've blogged something.  Hmm what can I say...  Well I got a follow-up interview with AT&T's call center here so that's something new.  Hopefully I'll get it.  It's always funny how I can go on a writing jag and then all of a sudden BLAM I can't write a darn thing!  But I think the main culprit of my lack o' writing recently is because I've been a lazy ass...  LOL

I've been playing my PS3 and finding that is a great way to take your mind off of things!  And besides SOCOM is just too darn important!  I'm sure I'll have people who will agree with me!  :)

Ahh The Pretty Lady...

Of course I had to get me some Anne Hathaway on here again! This actually came from the movie Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control... Which occurs at the same time during Get Smart is happening...

You may recognize the future ex-wife in this scene from Get Smart when Max tries to use his miniature blow gun and swallows the poison dart...

All I can say for Agent 99... Jealous much??? LOL

Skate 2...

In response to my boy Paco's entry about Skate part Deux, I had to put this gem of a clip on the web! This will show you why I play Skate 2... Although I was actually trying to grind the ledge...

Extreme I am not friends...

Dude... The Day...

Man I got a lot of stuff done today! Thank god...
Got my dad's bank situation squared away, along with sending off letters for his debts...

Went to Costco with Mom and Grandma...  Had to take 2 ibuprofen afterwards...

Then had to finish grocery shopping by buying tuna steaks for my mom's reformed dietary habits...

I didn't even get to play SOCOM tonight!!!  No bueno...  :o(

Amazingly a Good Game...

Former customer of mine at Foot Locker Adrian Wilson sorry bro!

Can't believe the Cardinals came back and gave the Steelers a game!  Good till the end, and now I need some Pepto...  LOL

But anyway congrats to the Steelers for winning a record 6th Super Bowl!

Random Hot Chick of the Moment...

Whoo!!!

Some of you may know of my affinity for Miss Anne Hathaway!  I dunno, I think this it's a combination of her classic beauty, and her love of helping others.  From the interviews that I see and her interactions with people she seems like a very nice person who seems genuine.  I need to get a script going so I can get her cast in it!!!

AFRO!!!

Afro Samurai...  I just got this video game a couple of days ago, excellent graphics and good ol' classical hack and slash type game.  The only issue that I've seen with it is it has a few framerate hitches during the game though, which is annoying but bearable.  Samuel L. Jackson (i.e. the reason I got the game in the first place) has some pretty funny dialogue in it.  But nothing that you couldn't watch Snakes on a Plane to get.  LOL

One of the funky things that I noticed immediately was that it didn't have a HUD (Heads Up Display) to help guide you around.  The developers wanted the game to play more like a live comic book and I certainly understand it.  However it was more than one occasion where I ended up on another side of the map and needing to call on the Ninja "GPS" (again voiced by Sammy J.).  So that was kind of annoying, but what can you do?

Overall though pretty fun game to play, lots of blood, guts and gore and dialogue that would definitely NOT make it safe for kids to play...

Ok...  That's one now I gotta play Skate 2 as well...  Sheesh too many darn choices!!!
