Matter of fact one of my friends Paco and his cousin Hector just visited my hometown and we just had a big ol' order of wings at Joe Bob's Chicken Palace.
Some of you know Paco's work from the AWESOME header that he designed for this blog (Check the link at the bottom)! He also designed the uber-cool sig that's above! We have a lot of things in common and similar values and the same sense of humor so of course that stoked the fire of friendship... Of course the fuel is fired because Paco actually laughs at my antics in the game... LOL! I couldn't imagine a better squad mate because he actually has some skill to balance out my nonsense...
We even play other games like Skate 2 and Street Fighter IV which are fun as all get go because we can just hang out and have fun. Same goes with Tiger Woods with some of my other clanmates!
It's been a trying 5 months since I moved back to Reno, with my Dad still recovering from a stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side. It's been made even harder in that my Dad's mental facilities aren't all there. Couple that with the fact that I haven't been able to get a job in this stinkhole makes the time here even more stressful!
I can honestly say, if it wasn't for the members of Riders of the Apocalypse, I probably would've spiraled into REALLY bad depression... The character of the membership of my clan is unlike many I have ever seen! It's really a family... Albeit a dysfunctional family but a family nonetheless... Again, all from a video game...
I guess this post is to really recognize those awesome folks who I can count as my sisters and brothers from other mothers!
Thank you ROTA!!!

Wow dude. That was deep. I can say that I am also truly blessed to have found this clan. It is like a family here. I mean, the thing with our buddy Cabby. That was just everyone coming together for a cause to help a friend out. It's amazing how we don't even see each other on a daily basis, yet we're so close to one another.
Of course, some relationships grow more than others, and I find myself closer to some people than others on the clan. Like you, Colt. Didn't think much of it, and then here we are staying up so late playing skate and street fighter. Too funny. I do see that we have so much in common and we can laugh about so many weird things that not a lot of other people get. Lol. And I've never been able to quote Family Guy so many times, and someone else be able to get it every time. Too funny.
It was really great being able to meet you and your brother in person. The wings were super good too! I'm still craving some. :)
Yes, video games is my world away from the real world. It's a stress reliever, it's a relaxer. It's a chance to get away from the problems that we have here in the real world.
Colt my friend, "LUCKY" is finding ten bucks on the floor somewhere. "LUCKY" is getting a winning lottery ticket. "LUCKY" is shooting a basket with your eyes close and your back turned to the basket. We, my friend, are just truly blessed.
Yeah you're right I am truly blessed! I have my family (both ROTA and regular), my health, and my sanity (somewhat...lol). I guess I call it lucky because it just happened that I found ROTA, or ROTA found me so I guess take from that what you will... lol!
Yeah that cemented my views on our fam's character, just the way Ex got the whole thing together and delivered it to Cabby and Jett came along for the ride was truly an awesome sight! Still makes me kinda misty just thinking about it!
Yeah no doubt man, I was thinking ok cool older folks probably wouldn't dig on the Family Guy and stuff, go figure I found a few in here! LOL NO, NO NOOOOOO!!!!
But yeah bro, you ever head this way here again we gotta get some wings and In-N-Out! Yummy for the tummy!!! We'll take care of ya!
Exactly! Family doesn't really understand it but I tend to like to categorize it like this... There are people who like to collect stamps, people who like to garden.... I like to shoot my friends in the face in a video game! lol!
But for real we are truly blessed to have found good friends that share a singular and common bond... SOCOM... (Sounds kinda funny doesn't it?)
